Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic

When the diagnosis is cancer, one of the most important decisions a person will ever make is where to go for treatment. Some people have to travel great distances to find a first-class cancer hospital. But if you or someone you love has cancer, you don't need to go far to get the superior quality of a major cancer hospital. Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics offer excellent care in the heart of your community.

The Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center was initiated with the first gift in 1989. Named after the legendary Green Bay Packers coach who lost his life to cancer, the clinic was founded to serve patients and families with the level of passion and quest for excellence that were synonymous with Lombardi's teams.

There are approximately 20,000 patient visits and procedures each year at the clinic. As the first and largest Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, the clinic at St. Luke's serves as a model in advancing a multi-disciplinary approach toward cancer prevention, education, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

The services, resources and philosophy of care have been extended to benefit patients beyond the greater Milwaukee area. In addition to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at St. Luke's Medical Center, there are currently 12 satellite Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics in community settings throughout eastern Wisconsin. These clinics offer expert care and resources closer to home for many patients, and yet provide patients with the assurance that when more advanced treatment is needed they will be immediately connected to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at St. Luke's. Each Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic has a library for patients and health professionals, as well as access to a CancerHelp computer.
