Event - 21st Annual Lombardi Walk for Cancer

Date - Saturday, June 14, 2008

Location - Menomonee Falls High School

Parking is available at the Menomonee Falls High School and Stadium parking lots.

Course - 5K (3.1 miles)

Time -

7:30 - 9:00 a.m. - Walk day registration opens
8:30 a.m. - Pre-walk program begins and includes comments by Bart and Cherry Starr, skydivers and the dedication of the 2008 Walk. Following the pre-walk program, wheelchair entrants and runners will line up at the front of the starting line, followed by the walkers.
9:00 a.m. - Walk begins. The Lombardi Walk for Cancer will be held rain or shine. Water will be available along the course and first-aid stations will also be available. Rollerblades and skates are stictly prohibited. There will be a clock at the finish line for runners, however official scoring will not be available.
9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon - Attend the finish-line tailgate party with food, complimentary refreshements, raffle and entertainment.

Purpose and proceeds - Vince Lombardi Charitable Funds is a 38-year old organization whose sole purpose is to raise funds for cancer research, education, patient care and early detection for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Proceeds from the Vince Lombardi Award of Excellence Dinner Ball, Vince Lombardi Golf Classic, Lombardi Walk for Cancer, Lombardi Run to Daylight, Lombardi Food & Wine Experience and the Blocks of Granite program bring the amount raised by the Lombardi to over $11 million.

Entry forms - Entry forms can be picked up at all Aurora Pharmacies in the greater Milwaukee area and all Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinics. You may also contact Anita Jarvis at the Lombardi office for entry forms at 414.649.7015.

Entry fees -

Pre-registration fees:
Adult - $15 per entry
Child - $8 per entry (16 years or younger)
Family of 5 - $40 per family (children must be 16 years or younger)
Walk day registration fees:
Adult - $20 per entry
Child - $10 per entry (16 years or younger)
Family of 5 - $45 per family (children must be 16 years or younger)

Form a Walk Team and your entry fees can bel waived. Walk Teams consist of ten (10) or more participants and are encouraged to raise $1,000 per team. For more information on how to form a Walk Team, please contact Lori Krubsack at 414.649.7019.

Pledge prizes - Money and forms must be received by June 27, 2008 to be eligible for pledge prizes. Prizes are awarded based on the amount of pledge money turned in.
